This is a new area of work for AgHealth which comes within the Farm Injury Prevention Project being funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, and will be adressing injury prevention needs of young rural workers, as well as the injury risks for young people who live on, or visit farm properties. This program will build on the existing Future Farmers resource which assists high school students to identify risks on farms, and key hazards.
